Day Eighty Four-Lock down Has Been Lifted-Time for Renewal
This will be my last blog post for this blog. The governor has lifted the lock down effective tonight. It is sad that it took riots in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and the surrounding communities to make this happen. The only good thing to happen out of the riots was the fact that many of the looters were out creating havoc due to the extended lock down. It brought a glaring spotlight on Pennsylvania as a whole that the lock downs were having a very negative effect on the citizens.
It is definitely time for renewal. Yes, I know that many of us are still scared. I know many of us have gotten so comfortable with their situation that they just don't want to leave. I know a few friends like that, because they are living in their second home away from the chaos. They are enjoying the extended time away. I don't blame them for taking advantage of what they have. Yet those people are the very ones that are contributing to the extended lock down, whether they realize it or not. Then there are those organizations that have fully embraced taking everything online. These organizations have thrived during this exile. They are all for putting everything online, and barring people from even getting basic necessities.
I have learned some disturbing things during this lock down. I learned how easy it was for people to accept the edicts the governor put down. I learned how easy it was to manipulate people to accept that they would be trapped unless they complied with the edicts. I learned that governments can and do circumvent laws without the written consent of the people.
I also learned that not everyone will accept the edicts willingly. I was encouraged with some government officials actually listened and fought to open businesses. It was their hard work and the voices of the many people that have been oppressed by the edicts that turned the situation around. It was ultimately God's will that we go through this to expose the wicked weeds in local, county and state government. I don't think that Governor Wolf or the Department of Health will get "off the hook" for their grievous actions. At least I sincerely hope not.
There is hope I now know that things are going to get back to normal soon. I've already seen signs of renewal. I do pray that some day soon all the edicts that the governor has instigated will be rescinded. I am looking forward to the day that individuals will not be forced to wear masks to enter buildings, and retail and other business employees will not be subjected to wearing masks to work.
This lock down has affected my health. Yet I can praise God that he is the great physician. He will heal me. I learned to trust him even more through this fiery storm. I am contemplating starting another blog soon as the Lord leads me. For now as I end this blog post, I'll leave you with some bible verses on renewal.
Psalms 51:10 (KJV) "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me."
Psalms 51:12 (KJV) "Restore unto me the joy of my salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit."
Isaiah 40:31 (KJV) "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
Romans 12:2 (KJV) "And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV) "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
Ephesians 4:23 (KJV) "And be renewed in the spirit of your mind."
Colossians 3:10 (KJV) "And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him."
I praise God for this renewal of spirit...
