Day Sixty One: Seeking Calm in the Midst of a Storm
Thankfully I can honestly report that the crisis is starting to ease. We are seeing the signs that we may just get out of this. I'm also seeing some signs of resistance to the edicts our governor has put in place. That tells me that we're all not "sheep", and our mental capacities are intact. It is going to be a hard road though. Some of us are going to have to really put ourselves out there.
It may still seem perilous to you. You may feel like nothing is going to change their minds about their draconian measures. You may even think that you are incapable of doing anything to stop the evil agenda from coming to fruition. You are, if you're anything like me, seeking calm in the midst of this storm.
If you are fixated on having the government bail you out now, you are part of the problem. If you expect that the medical industry has all the answers and can save you, you are part of the problem. This crisis has revealed a very wicked agenda, one that has been in the works for almost a decade. If you can accept that this is all of God's plan, then you have a great advantage over the rest of us. It is that acceptance that will keep you when the storm waves hit you in every direction.
There are four passages in the Bible that describe a storm. Psalms 107:29 (KJV) states: "He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still." God calms the storm. It is accepting that maybe the storm is raging for a reason that helps you. Sometimes the storm comes up because you blatantly disobeyed the Lord. This is what happened to Jonah. He was specifically directed to go to Ninevah, but instead took a ship to Tarshish. A huge storm rose up in the sea. The sailors were frightened. They cast lots to determine who was at fault. The lot fell on Jonah. Jonah realized that he was the cause because he disobeyed the Lord's directive. In some intangible ways our present crisis is due to our blatant disobedience to God's commandments. It shouldn't be that surprising that God's wrath is falling on those who turn away from him.
In Matthew's account of a storm on the sea (some sources mention it as the Jordan River) the disciples are witnesses to Jesus' calming of the sea. They marveled at it, noting that "What manner of man is this, that even the winds and sea obey him?" Luke's account echoed the disciples' sentiments but adds more details than Matthew's account.
The key element is God. Jesus represents God and is our advocate to the Father. You can't seek calm waters by any other means. I know I may have written about this before in another blog post. Yet it does bear repeating that God through his son Jesus Christ is our only source for life. All other sources lead to death. I wish that everyone reading this blog understand that you really can't depend on government or the medical community....especially those who are pushing to enslave you by micro chipping you. This is coming...and it is scary...yet I have to tell myself that if it is God's will...it will come to pass. That is the key. God's will will prevail, not man's.
Psalms 46:10 (KJV) is one verse that I know I need to take to heart right now. It reads: "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth." Yes, I know that things look pretty bleak right now. I have felt a heavy burden in my heart for all of us. I take heart in these words that someday soon God will be exalted...and really is already being exalted by his children.
