Day Seventy Four: Having Faith to Move Forward
I made some enemies today. They couldn't believe that I would be willing to put myself out so publicly to proclaim the truth. They prefer to believe the lies the media has been telling them all along. In some ways I do feel sorry for them. In other ways it is good to understand where they are coming from, and how saturated they have been through the various outlets that are pushing the fear and lies.
It all comes down to faith. These acquaintances have only faith in what their eyes can see and their ears can hear. They believe that government knows best, and that we should follow their dictates to the letter. I knew that they didn't believe in God before now. The current situation has strengthened this non belief, and has created a weird kind of cult. I don't understand it. I have to admit that I'm a little leery of what they've been trying to push too. I have tried to keep an open mind, understanding that they don't have a stable base. It's the old story of the 6 blind men and the elephant that one of them keeps harping on.
If I focus on what the democratic party is touting about tracing, and the fact that these individuals would be willing and eager to sacrifice to be "safe", then I pray that much harder for their souls. In an earlier blog post I cited Proverbs 3:5-6. In order to trust God, you need to have faith. Faith in God and his perfect plan is better than believing in yourself or the government. Matthew 21:22(KJV) states it this way: "And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." The essential key is who you are praying to and relying on for the actions ye desire. God has worked a mighty miracle in this land already. It is up to us to have faith enough to move forward in his will.
The reason why people fail is that their faith is misguided. Mark 11:22-24 (KJV) says this: "And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heat, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." There is a danger here. God is not a "genie" that grants selfish wishes. The socialistic dream that the democratic party is pushing is bound to fail. I have faith that they will be defeated and their evil exposed. It is already happening.
Yes, it may seem impossible right now. It may seem that the evil forces have entrapped you in their evil schemes. You may be facing an impossible situation where you feel there is no way out. Yet I have to believe that God knows and sees what's happening. He has a beautiful plan, and needs us to have faith enough to move forward in them. Luke 1:37 (KJV) states "for with God nothing shall be impossible." Some preachers twist this message ruthlessly and thereby have lead many people astray. It is not in your own strength that you are going to get out of this situation.
The biggest problem I see is that people aren't getting the right message. You see "so then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Romans 10:17 (KJV). If you are hearing the wrong message, it is because you are not focused on what the word of God says. The word of God is powerful. 1 Corinthians 2:5 (KJV) states "that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God." Man's wisdom is flawed.
We do need to realize that "for by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God; Not of works, lest any man should boast." All our own efforts will come to naught without faith in God to move forward. Yes, I realize that I do ask a lot. Hebrews 11 is known as the "faith" chapter. It depicts how people have moved forward in faith. Hebrews 11:1 (KJV) says this "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:6 (KJV) states: "But without faith it is impossible to please him, for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." My acquaintances are not really seeking God, but have regulated him to the outer conscience of their minds. Yes, I pray for them. They know the words but have decided to reject him.
Faith is the first step. It is an important step but as James 2:14 (KJV) states: "What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and not works? can faith save him?" The answer is no. Faith alone saves no one. There are a few examples of faith in action in James 2. In verse 24, the writer sums it up with these words: "Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only."
So, I have put my faith in action...and that is why I've made some enemies today.
